Opening of the Ukrainian Cultural Center at C/Bejar, 38 Barcelona

On Friday, the Ukrainian Cultural Center was inaugurated at C/Bejar, 38 Barcelona. We sincerely congratulate the Ukrainian Association "Dzherelo", Barcelona and personally its President Olga Dzyuban on this event! Ms. Olga is an incredibly sincere person with an open heart!

NGO "Sensorica" intends to cooperate with the center in providing comprehensive assistance and support to Ukrainian children with special educational needs who are currently in Catalonia.

Also, to join and initiate cultural and educational projects for internally displaced persons and members of the Ukrainian diaspora in Barcelona.

The center will host the first Ukrainian library in Barcelona: more than 5 thousand textbooks and books have already been delivered. Bravo, Mariana Sorochuk!

We, in our turn, presented a bilingual (Spanish-Ukrainian) collection of poetry and fiction "A lump of earth" from the bookshelf of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

The employees of the Consulado General de Ucrania en Barcelona expressed their words of support, saying that the center will become a place of unity and strength of Ukrainians, noting that Spain has received more than 85 thousand Ukrainians, 43 thousand of which are children!

At the opening a self-formed Ukrainian choir of refugees sang charmingly - which proves Ukrainian self-organization and diligence.

The walls of the Center are decorated with masterpiece drawings of children, which were collected by Iryna Kvasha - a talented artist.

In addition to the library, this institution plans: language courses, Saturday children's school, master classes (creative, musical, culinary, theatrical).
This is really a place with a Ukrainian soul

We are waiting for everyone!
Low bow to everyone who made the dream come true!
