International Poetry Day at the British College of Gava

On March 21, on the occasion of the International Day of Poetry, at the British College of Gava, Olena Kazakova, as the head of the NGO Sensorica, presented to high school students a bilingual poetry collection, Un punado de Tierra, which we produced with the NGO Sensorica under the auspices of the Embajada de Ukraine en el Reino de España and the Office of the President of Ukraine.

It was a real challenge, more than 50 children from different countries had all their eyes on me, says Olena.
"You can't make a mistake and you have to keep their attention. So I organized a sensory "Minute of Curiosity", a bag with a real earth and a heart - symbols of love for the native land, the children tried to guess what was inside)
They were also asked various questions, and for their answers, everyone received a small fluffy pollito (a chick - a symbol of good news).
The children learned about Ukrainian writers of the 18th-20th centuries, the power of family, the power of truth, choosing a profession and opportunities to monetize their creative ideas, as well as about the artists whose works adorn the collection, Ukrainian traditions, and that the Ukrainian word "Earth" has more than 14 translations in English. Olena is grateful to the school teachers for the invitation, and to the students for their attention and the good mood they created!
